Open Conflict

By integrating established datasets such as Uppsala Conflict Data Program (UCDP), Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED), and Armed Violence & Security Data (AWSD), this data-driven platform creates a unified, real-time operating picture of global conflicts and humanitarian incidents, transforming fragmented sources into an accessible and interactive map-based dashboard. This matters because timely, transparent information is essential for humanitarian awareness: policymakers, researchers, journalists, and aid organizations need to quickly understand where violence is escalating, how patterns are evolving over time, and which communities are most affected. By bridging the gap between academic research data and live event streams, the platform enhances situational awareness, supports evidence-based decision-making, strengthens accountability, and ultimately contributes to more informed responses to both emerging and protracted crises.
